CESSNA 150 For
many pilots, this was the first plane they learned to fly. Simple,
forgiving, but just remember, keep the landing speed at 60 mph! (At
least that’s what my instructor told me.) This model has a
removable engine cowling, which allows you look at the detailed engine
and accessories. You can see through the cockpit windows to view the
instrument panel, controls and seats. The landing gear is covered by
streamlined parts and, to finish it off, the decals offer a colorful
red, yellow and black design. #11608 -1/48 Scale $15.00
BEECHCRAFT V-35 BONANZA When the unique Vee-tailed Beechcraft Bonanza first appeared, many fliers were startled when they realized there were only two tail surfaces, instead of the usual three. But Beechcraft’s engineers produced a successful design that eliminated the vertical fins that actually reduced drag and increased speed with the power available. The Bonanza became a popular private plane, somewhat in the category of a Cadillac or Lincoln of the sky. #11609 1/48 Scale $15.00
PIPER CHEROKEE Piper’s
Cherokee is a popular choice for the pilot who advances to a larger
plane suitable for carrying a family, sort of a flying sedan. Without
the complications of retractable landing gear, it has simplicity and
reliability. This model allows you to remove the cowl panel to view the
engine, and the cockpit interior contains the usual controls and
instrument. Clear windows and striping decals are included. #11610 -1/48 Scale $15.00
PIPER SUPER CUB One
of the most popular sport planes of all time, the Piper Cub introduced
legions of new pilots to the airways. The Super Cub is an advance
version of the original Taylor Cub, from which Piper’s planes
were developed. This plane was frequently the choice of bush pilots,
who added floats, skis, or huge donut-like tires for landing on
glaciers. Your Piper Super Cub model lets you see the engine and
detailed interior and contains a decorative stripe decal along with the
registration number. #11611 1/48 Scale $15.00
